Upcoming Sermons

I thought I knew the story of Joshua - until I started working on this series of messages through the book! There is so much to learn from him. Aug. 5 we will be looking at the Cities of Refuge. It's good to know that our God acknowledges the difference between intentional and accidental acts, and provides His grace. My prayer for Open Door is that we be a "city of refuge" for those who need a place of God's grace and healing.

Aug. 12 we will be studying Josh. 22. If you've ever been damaged by people who jumped to conclusions about you before actually getting to know you, you'll appreciate this truth!

Aug. 19 and 26 we will be looking at Josh. 22 and 23, which contain Joshua's last words to the Children of Israel. He teaches us by his example how to be a good leader, and his call to "choose you this day whom you will serve" is still a clarion call for us to "decide to follow Jesus - no turning back!"
